I got a set of e7s with guideplates on them and they were too narrow so I was told to try and cut them in half to get the rockers centered on the valve. Now when I go to torque down the stud the guideplate spins and loses its place. How do I keep it from spinning? Can I put a lockwasher in between the stud and guideplate and see if that helps?

You need to weld the guide plates back together... ISKY sells adjust guide plates that you fit then weld together. You need then welded or you can have major issues....

Are you using the COMP stud conversion??

Hello,

i use the isky guide plates too. The adjustment with it is very easy.
The left side of the picture you see my old cut and welded AFR guide plates. The adjustment with them was a pain.:notnice:
The part number of the isky´s is 200-AGP.
