Cutting the coils

Do you have any pic's that show how the car looks now?
I was going with the same 5 leaf mid eye and the 620 lowering. Now i am a little concerned

Here is a picture of a 65 with 5 leaf mid eyes and 620 drop springs and the shelby a arm mod, The car sits with a slight forward rake to it.

Sorry, no pictures available right now. Dodgestang has the stance I was looking for but I measured (with a level) today after work and I am sitting low in the back. I think each will behave differently with the mideye springs. I am probably 1 inch too low. At this point hoping to exchange the mideyes for some standard eye springs.

Toby: I don't think a 429 will fit in a 65, it barely fits in a 67 and I would never do it again...an FE series engine is a different story though.

Wow, great looking car! How do you like the 5 leaf rears? I'd like something stiffer, but don't want a back-breaker, or something that'll shake the car apart.

I installed late model Bullit seats from a 2001 mustang so the ride is silky smooth and corners like a dream for me. 5 leafs combined with the KYB gas adjust shocks works really well for me.

My stance is prob closer to what a lot of people want because I have a much heaveir 351c in the front of the car pushing it down a little more ;)

It all depends on what starting point your car was sitting before you decide to drop it. My '68 s front end sat high enough to qualify for 4X4 status. I went with 620 1" drop springs and decided NOT to re-install the rubber insert that goes on top of the spring. That lowered me an additional inch. I am very happy with my cars stance. Rears are stock springs with stock shackles. One persons idea of lower is going to differ from anothers. Good luck with your project.
