Hi,
I am looking into buying a set of ported heads and am wondering how much work it would be to put them on my engine. I know that they dont come with rockers, lifters, or cams. So besides putting them in what else would be required?

I've read that PI heads are stock 99+ heads on the Ford Racing website... There has been a write up on Patriot heads which are sold at Summit, however the reviews are very mixed... I was wondering the same thing for my supercharged application, and I've been told VT Engines are the best. I would go with a cam while you're at it and in there...

That's a definate, if your doing the PI swap you might as well go with some cams for a little extra power, depending of course on how much extra power you want and how you like your car to idle. I seem to have went with a not too popular grind with my 278XE's I guess they are too agressive for the daily driver car and that is why not many people run them. They should make AWESOME power though especially with my stage 2 PI heads. Most of the guys here on :SNSign: use the VT stuff so I would check into a set of their cams when you get ready to do your swap.:nice:

anybody ever use the ford performance heads for the 96-98 cars. i waslooking through the catalog and saw these and was wondering if anyone has them. guess they have bigger valves, not sure what else is different though.
