Daily Driver - Decided not to start???

Here's the situation: She was running fine the night before, woke up to drive to work and she wouldn't start. The starter is cranking and it sounds like it is really close to starting but it just won't catch. I rebuilt the carb (it needed it anyway) and that didn't help. It is getting spark to the cylinders and the plugs are wet after cranking a little and no start. I did put in a radio overnight, but I didn't undo or tap into any existing wires. I undid the radio and that still didn't help...

I'm stumped and really don't want to have to take it in... Any ideas guys? Thanks a lot.

So is this what really happened?

1. She was running fine the night before,
2. Installed radio,
3. Woke up to drive to work and she wouldn't start.

Sounds like it has to be electrical. With a volt meter and the key turned on, start testing your connections. Make sure you have 12 Volts throughout your system up to the coil. I had a simular problem and my spark was just not big enough. I still have points and they just needed to be adjusted.

if you have points why dont you invest in getting pertronix ignition. Its worth it and not having to adjust points every ****en time the seasons change, plus i got a smoother idle.
