hello all... i have 65 coupe with disc brakes, rear drum, laurel mustang deluxe suspension kit & a steering kit from Cal Mustang. It's a daily driver with about 15 miles daily. I am in the market for some upper & lower control arms. Is grab-a-trak worth the money? should i go with tubular arms? i need something affordable as i am a full time student with little cash. thanks for any suggestions!

for a daily driver you dont need tubular arms, so the grab a trak arms will do nicely. while you have the suspension apart, lower the upper control arm pivot point(ala shelby). i would also get a 1" front sway bar, and if you have a V8 car a 3/4" rear bar.

whats in that 'deluxe susp kit?'

If you have little cash, you arent really 'in the market'. Most of your options are big $$$ from this point onward (assuming you have done a fresh stock rebuild).

rbohm is correct, Shelby drop, better tires, shocks, poly bushings in appropriate spots. Perhaps subframes.

If you only plan to DD the car 15 miles a day, I dont know how you can take advantage of a substantial susp upgrade...

would i have to change out the springs for the grab-a-trak control arms & relocating the upper control arms, would a negative wedge kit be necessary for everyday freeway runs...i want to keep the stock height but if i have to change it i will, i also like the stock hubcaps, do i have change the original rims once i relocate the arms....thanks

you can keep the stock springs if you like with no problem. as for a negative wedge kit it is not needed with the shelby drop, especially since the shelby drop is only one inch and the negative wedge kit os for a 1 3/4" drop.you dont need to change the wheels either.
