Well as you guys know I smacked up my hood recently and the car is totally done except for the freakin' hood! I opted to pay the difference of thee GT hood to get an 03 Cobra hood and the first two hoods they got were damaged and they are waiting for the 3rd one to come in today. I remember Randy saying that they won't ship 03 cobra hoods because they ALWAYS get damaged.

All I know is that I'm ticked because I should have my car yesterday but the freakin' hood is keeping it in the shop. So F'ING ANNOYING!

If this one comes in damaged today I don't know what I'm going to do. I just want my baby back

Have you picked out another back-up hood in case this one is damaged?

No, I'm so set on the 03 cobra hood & Gt front bumper with a painted mach 1 chin. No one on here has it and I think it's going to be sex when it's done. If this one comes damaged I'm going to insist the body shop go pick it up at a dealership and stop trying to have it shipped. Ugh!

On the good hand, to keep me happy in my time away from my baby I bought Helty's Accufab TB/Plenum! <3!

Why didn't you consider Cervinis? Their quality is supposed to be very good from what I've read.

Will the OEM cobra hood fit with a GT bumper? I thought they didnt line up correctly with the bumper (gap) and people had to go aftermarket on the hoods...

Correct. There is a little gap (about an inch) from the hood to the front bumper. I've seen many pics of it and it's deff liveable. You wouldn't even notice it unless you are REALLY looking for it. Here is a pic of a SNet's sexyness. I forget who. (sorry!)

I'll look into Cervinis if this hood comes damaged. I'll just tell the body shop to order from Cervinis but that will mean that I don't get my car till probably early next week.

you can always get the cobra hood from musclecar direct, its gonna be 499 and carbon fiber... but you could get away with not painting it for a few days...?

Eh, not a fan of CF and if I do go the CF route, that means I'll need some hood pins to hold it down. I'd rather do it right the first time. I've learned that the hard way.

Um.... any aftermarket hood should have pins, but honestly the CF hood I got from them is OE fit and finish. You don't have to leave it CF and having a hood that weighs less than 10lbs is nice And I haven't installed my pins yet, knock on wood, so far so good.

Just thought I'd point them out since they ship. Mine came in a box with bubble wrap and supports no dammage what so ever.

*UPDATE*

The 3rd hood from Ford came undamaged. Hood is getting painted today. He also painted my mirrors to match and re-painted my chin spoiler. I can't wait to see what she looks like! It's like going on a blind date that I had to pay $1,000 up front to go on! AHAH!

03 Cobra Hood + Painted Side Mirrors + Painted Chin = Sex?

Oh, and he also got me a new KDW2 because the sidewall got a scratch in it.

Then next weekend she gets blown!!!
