The idle surge is horrible now. I reset my TPS as close as I could get to .99 (it was 1.04) and I backed out the stop screw, opened up the ISC valve, and went into the tweecer and put in freaking 1000 rpms for idle. It doesn't actually idle there though, it still tries to idle at 800 or so, and it is surging real bad. It all started when I bumped up the fuel pressure and set the timing form 0* to 10*. As soon as I raised the pressure it started surging. Should I try lowering the fuel pressure back down? It was at 36 or so, now it's at 40 vacuum off. It keeps popping and bucking a lot on acceleration and part throttle cruising. I don't know if that means it's lean or rich or what. Any ideas?

I bumped my timing up from 10* to 14-15* and mine stopped popping(for last night anyways). It's still bucking, but not as bad as it was. I've never had the idle surge problem, so I can't help ya out there.

I think the idle surge is caused by a loadup of fuel, so by increasing the fuel pressure you might be adding too much fuel. Is there anyway with the tweecer to remove some fuel at idle? just a though as im not sure. Good Luck! all my problems are back too! :(

Mike, I added some global spark with the twEECer (10*at the dizzy/another 5 with the twEECer, so 15* total) but it didn't help any.

DarkProphet, yea I knew surging was cus of too much fuel, but I'm supposed to have it at 40psi, so I'd rather keep it there at the regulator. I'm not real familiar with the fuel systems in the twEECer yet, the only thing I can think of doing is leaning out the maf curve some at idle. I might try that.

Chris

Hosing around with your fuel pressure is a :nono:

That kind of thing is gonna be counter productive to your new found fingertip tuning method. :D
