I would like to find the bean counter at Ford that decided that a plastic clutch quadrant would be better than a metal one.

I spend an hour or two on my back under the dash putting in a new Fiore quadrant and FWA. Very nice pieces and the install wasn't that bad it was trying to get the old stuff out that was kind of a pain. Even with the drivers seat pulled out it was still pain. No room for my hands up there. At least its done now and I won't have to do it again.

Just had to vent a little.

Next weekends project looks like its gonna be LTs, new H and dumped Dynomax bullets :D. There should be lots of cursing involved with that one :rlaugh:

Nice, I heard great things about fiore, did you break it? I heard its alot easier to just break the old quadrant so it just falls out.

I have the maximum motorsports quadrant and firewall adjuster, and an OEM ford cable non adjustable. I think it does just fine.

The Fiore pieces are really nice. Heck they even emailed me to see if I wanted to change shipping methods so I could save some money. Said it would take the same amount of time with either method and Priority Mail would save me a little over 3 bucks. Included a check along with the FWA and quadrant. I have nothing but good things to say about Fiore.

I ended up having to break the pawl to get it off the pin on the clutch pedal. After that it was pretty easy. I just hate being on my back under the dash.

There is a little play in the pedal but you don't have to push it more than halfway down to disengage the clutch. Pretty much like it was before the quadrant went out and the pedal effort is pretty smooth and not very difficult.
