under the honeycomb grill by the front bumper there is a HUGE ugly wax stain. its chalky and its probably the product of me overapplying the maguairs gold class. ive tried some 3m abrasive cleaner, but it just doesnt want to go away. keep in mind this wax residue crap has been here for a while (2 months). any suggestions?!

For getting into cracks and crevices to remove wax residue I usually cut a q-tip in half at a sharp angle with a utility knife. I then spray the residue with a quick detailer and gently pick at it with the q-tip until it is gone. I have never scratched the paint with this method. You may not even have to cut the q-tip in half as the cotton ends should fit between the grill and your bumper cover. Just make sure you use plenty of quick detailer.

Dab some oil baby oil on that q-tip....Let the wax soak it up, and come back an hr later...It will probably have fallen off....

Then the next time you apply wax to the car, get some of the new NXT from Meguiars. It doesn't leave any wax residue plus I see that it has outlasted the Gold Class in terms of durability on the two cars that I applied it to.
