I am looking to get some 17" black bullitts and debating between the deep dish or 9" for the rear. I already know they look bad a*s so I am not looking for pics or wheel size recommendations. MY QUESTION: I commute almost 90 miles a day in my car so ride quality is more of a priority than overall looks. For those that have switched to the deep dish, I would like to hear your impressions of the ride compared to stock regardless of what tire size you are running. Oh, if I get deep dish I will probably just run a 285/40, but I know most run 315's. Thanks

I don't have deep dish but I do have 10.5 inch Bullitts. I noticed that the ride quality is better now. It rides alot smoother. Must be because of the add width.

Thanks for the quick response, this is the type of info I want to hear. When I said deep dish I do mean the 10.5" bullitts.

Personally, I have 2 sets of rear rims, 17x9 and 17x10.5. The tires choices on the 17x9 rim (275/40/17 tire) are much better, I use the KDWS tires and love them, on the 17x10.5 I have 555R 315/35/17. Ride quality didn't change, but when I had stock gears, I felt the car a bit sluggish on launches with the 10.5's, after getting the 4.10's that sluggishness vanished.

I think mine rides better now, and the handling improved greatly. I have the 285s and love them, they are about even with the rim about the smallest you want to go. And the kumhos have super stiff sidewall, yet i can still cut 1.90s at the track with them...GOOD tires.

I found some close up pics from an old post of yours and those 285 Kumhos look very good on the rims. What size are you running up front?

I don't think anyone does. The widest non-dished Bullitt rim I have seen is 9". Someone said Wheel Replicas but, they only sell deep dish Bullitts.

I wish they made the deep dish wheel as a 9.5" wheel with 1" off the backside of the wheel. That way it would look the same on the outside where you see it and the tire selection options would be WAY better.

Mustang Tuning used to have regular dish 17x10.5" bullitts as recently as a about a month ago. I don't see them there any more. It's too bad, I think I like them better that the deep dish.

Callin' me a liar. Bought them from American Tire Co. and they get them from Replica Alloys.

No one called you a liar but, get your facts straight. You previously said Wheel Replicas had them and I simply pointed out that they don't have those rims.

Geez touchy aren't we

Just messing around. I thought wheel replicas sells replica alloys. I didn't know they are different companies.

Another thing though...Wheel Replicas never updates their website. Otherwise they'd have the 93 Cobras listed, the deep dish FR500s, and all the other crap. I really wish they'd update their website.

This looks like regular dish and it says nothing about them being deep. The problem with these is that they don't match the stock color so you must buy all four: http://www.wheelreplicas.com/bullit.htm

There is a link on that page for the deep dish style that match stock: http://www.wheelreplicas.com/newbullit.htm
