I'm planing on getting the 17x9 (front) and 17x10.5 (back) chrome deep dish rims from mustang tuning.
My question is , what are the best tires sizes to put on for the front and back. as i been told its 315 for the back, is that correct? and what size for the front?

my second question is , since the rims and tires are heavier , will i notice a big drop in performance?? and how much will the performance of my car drop?

You can see what I am running from my signature. I also have 18's instead of 17's. I went 295s out back, but wish I went 305 or 315. I'll burn them up soon enough and go a little bigger. I could stand to do so up front as well or get a different tire that has more bulge to protect my rims. I have scrapped a couple times due to no bulge.

from what ive heard, 295 is the widest you can go on an 18 without rubbing, someone correct me if im wrong

****, 295 is the widest you can go... to fit on an 18x10... at all. I want wider, but no one makes anything wider.

I have 18 x 10's (saleen replicas) on the back with 315's bfg drag radials and they are too wide, I realize bfg's run big, the sidewall has a gash from hitting the fender lip. I am thinking of going with a 295 or 305 next ! They do hook really well when they are warmed up !! Get 18's they look better !

I have 295 40 18 BFG T/As in the rear-- good traction, but will still break loose. As for acceleration, not very noticeable--but I agree that gears will aleviate any issues with that..

This reminds me of some honda *** (with a stock v6 accord) that told me 'good luck running low 15s with those 'bigger in back style tires'' ..hahah

No one makes street tires that wide, is what i'm getting at. No KDW2's or ES100's or anything like that.
