When degreeing a cam the directions with the comp cam's cam indicates using a solid lifter rather than a hydrualic lifter. If the dial indicator plunger will be resting on the outer edge of the hydrualic lifter why would you need a solid lifter? The reason I am asking is because I don't have a solid lifter, but if nessecary I could create one from the old lifters, but it is a flat tappet. Thanks for the feed back.

So are you saying you have a flat tappet cam...when you have a "roller block"....I would just get a roller cam...

This link might help you out a bit...

You do not understand the question I do have a roller can and hydraulic roller lifters. But the directions on the comp cam say to use a solid lifter.

Yeah know that I read it over again...I see what your saying...

I'm pretty sure the hydraulic roller lifters will be fine....others will chime in and confirm in a bit...
