My brother got Dyno 2000. It's alright if you're building a V8, but if you try to build a 2.3 on there, forget it. I built a 2.3L on there with a ported head, 8:1 compression, aftermarket cam and a turbo at 20 psi and it put my power rating at under 200 hp.

Thats cool I just want to play around with some different combinations, been seriously considering the v8 swap on my 2.3 so just wanted to know if I could get any accurate results from the software. thanks for the reply.

It doesn't work well for engines with power adders, but for a natrually aspired engine, it seems to be fairly accurate. I put in the numbers for my 2.3, and it came out real close, but you have to be very precise on cam specs, and head flow, ect.

I have it and find it to be quite good. Modeling some engine combos accurately can be a bit tricky at times.

...also have some of the add-ons to test your engines on drag strips etc. which can be fun to fiddle with if not eye opening once in awhile.

I think its pretty accurate on small blocks as mentioned already.
Has anybody seen the torue curve when you spray it with nitrous, it makes peak torque and the beginning of the scale @ 2000rpm.

I had much the same problems. it dosnt seem to well setup for the 2.3.
which makes no sense since it is all mathmatically figured out. I was suprised they had the 2.3.

By now you could probly find it free somewhere on the net.

fun toy, and gives you a visuall idea of what certain things might do.
