I am about to purchase a tuner from a guy at work weds. This guy promises me that the tuner is unlocked from any cars, Is there any way I can make sure of this without hooking up to the mustang which is in the garage until spring? Or can I just run out to the garage and plug it in my car and see without adjusting anything?

Thanks

You have to plug it into your car just to get it to power on to check if it is married to a vehicle already unless you have the ac power adapter for it then you can check it inside the house.

As stated above...you want to check the field for "Last Tune Written". If it's unlocked it will say something like Orginal Factory Tune. If it says Custom Tune or something like that, it is NOT unlocked.

Well I hope I get a little more than that, but my main concern is calibrating my gears ect. What make you think SCT is far better?

You got dyno sheets to prove this? Besides tuners are used for a lot of other purposes, O2, EGR, Gears etc.

Yep, looked at sniper at read many good things about them. However ,the reason I choose the predator was because the guy I am having tune the car uses diablosport, and he is great at what he does.

Where aer you located. I could not find anything on your site. Address and Phone Number? You really need to put contact information on your web site with driving directions or something.

I love my predator. My car is being tuned by Bob Kurgan on saturday, and he said he gets the same numbers from both tuners.

Hey I gotta tell you something about the Predator. Make sure it's an older model because the new ones don't allow you to turn off the egr, emissions, etc anymore. When I uploaded their revision to my programer i lost these settings and more. When I called them about it the tech told me that the EPA came down on them hard so they had to remove these settings on all newer scanners and revisions.
He said I would have to have a proffessional tuner do that for me but in the end he felt my pain so he emailed me back an earlier revision with the old settings.

the green tabs on the left side of the page have everything there , even the contact is listed under the tabs a second time so its always on the page no matter where you navigate on the site , so I dont know how you didnt find it LOL .. last tab says contact if you click it , it brings up my number , my city and state , and mapquest link as well , been that way for 2 years

anybody that has upgraded from the 7r50d to the newer CROM files and needs to put it back to the 7r50d they can get it from Diablosports site right here SSSHHHHH , they say it only works on Diablos that were originally 7r50d and upgraded by the customer themselves , if you bought it new and it has a 8r or 9r crom NEW then they say this crom file wont work , but I dont know if anybody has actually tried it ......
