I got the predator today in the mail, so I'm going to mess with it tonight.

I just replaced the plugs and air filter on Saturday as well. Aside from slotted rotors my 01 Auto GT is bone stock

I've been running Ultra 94 for a month now and did a full purge of all transmission fluid (16 quarts in total was changed).

So my plan is to upload the performance tune and see what happens. What else should I be doing? And how would adding a dragon plenum, intake, and steeda cai affect the performance tune of the Predator?

if you add those upgrades you may want to have a dyno tune done to get best results..I would say the intake upgrades will show good numbers at the wheels with the right tune from the right people..

That's what I thought.... I just wanted to ask.

Right now the only mods in the future are a kenne bell 4" cold air kit and an off road x-pipe. I still need to find a good dyno shop in NJ that will tune a Mustang.

I'll let you all know what happened tonight

It's awesome!!!!!

I loaded the Diablo Tune and maxxed out the timing in the 2-4K and 4-7K range. I also firmed up the shifts a little.

Wow, what a difference. The car has more power and is very responsive. The shifts are crisp and tight. I didn't want to firm them up too much because I still want to use that tranny for at least another 15K miles.

For $399.00 it did what is was supposed to do.

I haven't tried WOT yet, but at 3/4 they chirped a little so I imagine at WOT they'll really bark. I didn't have much room on RT 22 to let it go and I live down the block from the police station.

Having the air/fuel checked would be optimal. I had mine checked shortly after installing the Predator tune and my a/f was slightly rich in the low 12's. I used the Predator and leaned my a/f out about 3% to make it a pretty even 13 straight accross. I also picked up 4hp on the next dyno run.

What did you set it at for the shift firmness? I have been playing with it a little and have not really noticed a difference in shifting.

For the 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 Part Throttle shifts, I tried out different settings and I think I've settled on 35 psi, 20 psi and 9 psi. I had it higher but I got tired of my head kicking back at each shift during daily driving and sometimes you can feel the shift kick in when you are barely stepping on the gas pedal. With the settings I have, the shifts definitely click off much quicker. No more 1 second granny shifts. I also increased the firmness on the WOT shifts. I have those at 180, 140 and 20 now. This is where the 2nd gear scratches come in. A setting of 120 is only halfway up on the scale. I kept the 3-4 shift on a low setting. I didn't want to stress the OD band. Besides, I am never at WOT when the 3-4 shift happens.
