Did a burnout at a stop sign just to do it. I thought I was clear but ended up getting lit up by a motorcycle cop. He wrote me four citations:

1. Unsafe Start aka Burnout lol

2. Speeding

3. No Insurance. I had my old card instead of my new one.

4. No Inspection

5. Almost got one for expired license but I think he was tired of typing it all in at this point.
He was lucky I pulled over at all! I couldn't hear his sirens over the exhaust.
I go to court next week and what sucks is I called my insurance to get my new card and apparently it cancelled in January! So I'm screwed on that one. Then, I was going to buy new exhaust to pass inspection but my radiator busted and I spent my $$ on that so now I'm out of luck on that too. Also, in TX you can take defensive driving and/or a 90 day probation to keep tickets off your record. Well, I've already used those options for the year...Ah well, I guess we'll see what happens.

Defensive driving is only available with certain types of tickets; the unsafe accell wouldn't be one of those. You could likely lose your license over this.

WHY would you do burn out at a stoplight? The bottom line is that if your a real car guy your going to do them from time to time but most of us (including me) do it in areas where cops just flat dont bother with and cant easily be seen. Good luck but I think your F****D.

Thats a good one , but I got you beat , when I was like 20 or so I had a 86 IROC , I was under an overpass and did a John Force Burn out with a Philly Crusier in the other lane in my blind spot and it didnt help it was night and I had Limo tint !

The only thing that was cool about that was how cool the red and blue lights looked in all that smoke , I felt like the biggest J/A , but all and all I got a find, paid it and that was that ! Kids

So good luck , maybe you will get a slap on the wrist !

That suckksss. I did one last summer at a stoplight. It was 2 in the morning and I looked around for a while before I did it. I got about a mile up the road then I saw the flashing blue lights. Long story short I was polite and told the cop it was really dumb lol. He told me to be careful and that it sounded pretty sweet and that I had a nice car and sent me on my way. After that I sure as hell learned my lesson about doing them on main stretches of road because next time I wont be so lucky.

im glad you in texas driving with no insurance, cause that miles from me.

I'd venture to guess that you may have been dropped on your head a few times as a child judging by your ****ty decisions, the cop should have arrested you and impounded your car, your driving with no license, no insurance and if you hit someone im sure that they would have a really easy time getting the money off of you

I shouldn't say this.....but if you even get a ticket for no insurance....Go home and buy it online before midnight. They wont go threw the research of seeing if you got the card before or after the infraction that day. Say "i just got it out of storage and insured it that day". In my younger days i can say ive beat a no insurance ticket 2-3 times this way.

We've probably all played around and gotten bitten at least once for doing something we probably shouldn't have, be it kicking the back out around a corner or a big smokey burn out. That's understandable, but what is NOT understandable is why anyone would drive without insurance or an inspection sticker if required. It's mid april, so you haven't had insurance for 4 months by now. How do you not notice? And you knew it yourself that your inspection was expired. If you had at least been attempting to get it inspected, the officer may have been understanding...

Present yourself in a good light and the officer will be much more likely to be understanding. Keep up the plates, insurance, and stickers and you would only have 1 ticket, and a much better chance of finding an understanding judge. Now you just look like an irresponsible kid that knows nothing about life, which must not be far from the truth.

In college I kicked the back end out going around a corner. It was late with no other traffic on the road... except for the officer coming up the street just a ways away. Naturally, he pulled me over, asked some questions and checked everything over. Everything was up to date and I was polite. He gave me back my liscence and said "it's ok to have a little fun once in a while, just be careful out there", and I was on my merry way. Be smart, present yourself well, and be polite. It will take you a long ways, not to mentioned keep your **** up to date. You won't always get off, but you'll be in a much better situation then otherwise.

Good Job!

Doing burnouts IS defensive driving. It keeps other cars from coming close to you through the smoke.
