Ok, I'm 99% sure I'm just fine here, but since I've got so many hours into this project I thought I'd ask before I drop the engine back in...
When I got my new pilot bearing, the center bearing part stuck out past the race probably 1/16th or 1/32nd of an inch. When I was installing it into the crank, I tapped on it with a piece of wood, and now the edge of the bearing is flush with the edge of the race. I seriously doubt the race sitting 1/16th of an inch further towards the tip of the trans input shaft will have any effect at all, but I thought I would see what you guys think...
For what it's worth, this is a stock crank and stock T-5 trans.
Here's a picture I took, it doesn't really show a lot, but I thought I'd attach it anyways:
Thanks,
Jeff
