SuperChargers 4 Less sells the full kit for 2292+50 for shippin..

not to hatefull
Is that the V2 SQ?

Rather than start a new thread I decided to post in this one. This may sound dumb, but If I got the full V2 SQ kit on my 94 aode vert with stock head cam and ported stock intake would it be safe to just install the kit and run it using the stock 19#'s untill i could save up some more money to get something larger? Also will my tranny be able to handle this? Or would I need to up the tranny by maybe getting a Valve Body I would love to get this kit but I dont want to have to get all these extra things like say a torque converter and what not. If I could get 300 to the wheels I would be happy but if not I still need something to give my car some go.

dont really matter FMU with hose was an afternoon trip to delk with a friend $80 for a used Vortech FMU and stupid hose that was split on his powerdyne. So even if you wanna get one later they aren't expensive but pickin up a used BTM is hard. Don't see a lot of those for sale. IF I had the money I would definately go for an SQ-V1.

1994-95 SQ $2,799.95

Good price, CJs has the same kit for $3220.95

Total savings with the Vortech special, over Cj's is still a bunch.

$3220.95
-$2799.95
= $421.00

I would do it if I had a SN95, but I don't...:nonono:

so which kit would be better to buy? the system or the tuner kit? is there any power difference between the v1 and v2 sq? will one make more power then the other? also i see they only sell the 6-8 psi kits, is it easy to get a 10# pulley an swap it on to run 10psi? thanks

I believe I remember reading that the SQ can't spin as high as the S-trim. (or overspin)

The difference is that the SQ has helical cut gears, the S has straight cut gears.

so for more power i would need the v1 s trim then?

Actually they can spin the same, have the same limits of boost, and flow the same.

Yeah, I've seen that information on their website. Did they change the SQ at all since they first brought it out? I remember when it first came out the magazines said that it's peak RPM wouldn't be as high, I guess they were wrong? If there isn't any real difference, I'd go with the SQ so you don't have that loud ass noise. :nice:
