Difference between forward and reverse valve body?

Can anyone tell me what the difference in this is (specifically in the Hurst Quarter Stick pistol-grip shifter)? Is it just the direction you move the shifter?

From my understanding:

Instead of PRND21 it is PRN12D

This was there's no chance of throwing it into final drive and accidentally going into neutral and over-revving her.

On C4 reverse is as above PRN123, I dont of any one making reverse for AOD Ive got Art Carr full manual w/ elect OD and stock shifter, Works great, no worries
