After being all over the map.... I'd like to join all the sheep and go with a set of 95 Cobra wheels on my 92' Fox. Of course there are many places that offer them... the tough part is weeding out where to get them.

LRS has the "Ford Racing" version in following size.... 17x8, 15mm offset, 5.15" backspace..... for $165 each.

Mustang Unlimited has 17x9 version... but they only list the offset spec... 18mm.... for $130 each.

Any thoughts or experiences? Comments? Is the warm fuzzy feeling of buying a wheel that has the "Ford Racing seal of approval" on it worth the extra $35 per wheel? I'm not really giving up that much with an 8" wheel vs. the 9", right? I'm not limiting my tire sizes? What if the cheaper wheel (the 9") doesn't have the correct amount of backspace and my stuff is hanging outside the fenders? That would suck hard.

Better safe.... and choke the extra cash?

Thanks for your time!!

Check CJPonyParts.com They have awesome customer service there. I bought my saleen replicas there and had many questions about fitting their 18x9.5s on my 88gt. My front and rear quarters have been punched out over an inch all around so I had a little more clearance than usual. Because of that I had tons of questions and those guys helped me out considerably over the phone. They know their stuff! I was able to get a 18x9.5" to fit with 295/35/18 BFG drag radials while still retaining the quad shocks and not hanging out past the fenders thanks to the fenders being wider than stock. Give them a call, they're good people!
