Keep stock or what??????

well Ive tossed the idea around of selling my saleen blower and upgrading to a KB...... Gusy on my local mustang board are telling me NOT to tear apart the saleen...its a special car so never touch it and keep it as stock as possible..... I know what they mean but how can you turn down a KB?...so what is everyones thoughts on keeping a real saleen stock as possible..... will a KB change anyone opinions on the car if I was to ever sell it without a saleen blower?

I'm glad I did the swapp, no regret... the KB looks as stock as the saleen blower used to, but at least now makes some real power!

Do whatever you want. If going KB will keep you in your car then go for it.

A guy here was doing everything he could to his Series II, port, IV elbow, injectors, MAF, the works and was still dissapointed. He finally broke down a week and a half ago and went KB 1.7. He is sooo happy you have to wipe the grin off of his face everyday. Even my wife could do the install on a 1.7. It's a piece of cake. The 2.2 is a must if you think you want to build your bottom end sometime in the future but like everything else, the 2.2 needs a few more tweaks to get it right in your car. Once again, I could not stress how happy he is with his 1.7. It makes gobs of power early on and he can't belive the throttle response.
Joe at Chicane did the install. Hoppy's car is a mineral grey GT if you want to call Joe and ask him about it.

Just keep your series two all together in a box still bolted to the manifold and if you ever want to go back, just swap it. It will not hurt the value of your car as long as you have it when you decide to sell later on.

Go for it and enjoy the car. They produced way too many s281's in the last few years to worry about it being a collectors item.Unless you are not going to drive it at all and leave it parked it will depreciate like any other car.My KB is going on at the end of the month and I can't wait.

I don't believe you have to keep anything from the series II.The KB comes as a complete kit.I know some have kept the saleen intercooler resevoir and heat exchanger because it is a little thicker than the KB.
