I got a distributor supposedly from a 302, but it has a base size of 1.55"
My current dizzy is 1.5" and the hole in the block is 1.5"
The part number of the dizzy that is too big to fit is C8VF12131-B
Are there different diameter holes? Maybe this is from a different ford engine?
