First off, you obviously have to remove the door panels, which are an easy straight forward procedure, which involves 2 phillips screws, one push botton on front side of door panel, and of course the removale of the arm rest panel deal ( pops out with a flat blade screw driver on top edge, and unscrews with the 2 phillips screws holding the window switch on) Then you just give the panel a nice tug upwards, and wiggle it out.. easy stuff, while i was at it, i just repainted the arm rest and center radio bezel deal... easy stuff, it just pops right out, as does the shifter bezel.. give em a tug, evenly and they will pop out.

Mirror unbolts with 3 7/16th nuts, and needs to be unplugged, and the plug and wire pulled through the hole in the door for the mirror.

After that I sanding the mirror with 280 grit until semi smooth.. it still had visable indentations from the mirrors textured plastic.. No worries, the primer and base coat with fill this in. Then i sprayed them with a cheap primer, let dry and sanding with 320 grit, and sprayed them again.. Let dry, and then sprayed the base coat on ( color)... It was late, so i let it dry over night... Then sprayed the clear on in the morning... let dry most of the day, and re installed the mirrors.. easy as shi*

Of course, to do this the right way, you'll need a compressor, gun, ect.. base coat, clear coat, hardner, thinner, tape, cleaning cloth, and 280-320grit paper.

BTW, im not a business, but i'de be willing to paint anyone on Stangnet's, mirrors, or interior trim on the side, for a small fee. Just ship it to me clean, and free of grease, or armour all.

Usually I'm not too big on painted interiors with yellow cars, but yours doesn't look over the top. I REALLY like the center section. Nice job.

I really like that a lot!! I would definately want to do that to my silver car, assuming it looks good. Anyone have any pics of a silver vert w/ painted mirrors?? I'll look around anyways

I like the interior, the mirrors are OK. I prefer the black mirrors because they blend in with my tint. If mine were silver, they'd stick out like a turd in a punchbowl.

QUESTION:
when painting the plastic interior pieces.... did u have to sand and prime the pieces as well...or did u just clean them real good with rubbing alcohol or something and spray the mofos????

I think the problem with the mirrors is the painted triangle behind it. JMO but I think that part would look better black like on the cobras.

thanks guys, im still also undecided as to if i like the mirrors or not.. No big deal, i have someone with a zinc yellow coupe, that would trade me back for black ones. Im going to wait to see how it looks when im done with the rest of the body work (as in bumpers, wing, side skirts)

The hood on the Red 94 behind the yellow 01 is a Keanen SVO R hood.
You can see more pics of the car in the link in my sig.

As for painting them, its real simple..

Ive actually already had these pieces silver, and decided i wanted somthing new, so i went with yellow... But for the first time around, i basically just sanded them with 400 or somting really light, just enough to scuff the stuff up.. then primerd them, and sprayed the base coat, then 4-5 coats of clear... real basic stuff... You gota use good masking tape, and make it all even, and itl turn out just as nice.
