Do I Drill-Thur or Not ?

+1 , it works like a champ. Well, at least on my neverending cowl replacement project it does. I think I saved a little cash by going down to harbor frieght and picking up a set. Bad thing is if you don't punch, or drill a small good guide hole - you might break some of the teeth on that bit just like I have.

Hey Geostang351

Yes I have used those double ended bits. However, I have to drill all the way through my spot welds due to the fact I don't have any place to re-weld the new inner rocker panel.

What I mean is: The new rocker has no holes to spot weld thru my standing outer rocker panel. I don't want to drill thru the new one.

So the alternative is to DRILL ALL THE WAY THRU the outer (the good area) of my outer rocker and than spot weld thru those holes I made onto the new inner rocker panel ~ WHEW ! I do hope I was able to explain that to your understanding

Can't thank you enough about processing my project car pics on this great forum.
