How do I tell which one my 69 coupe has? I know by the size, but does anyone have a pic or measurements for me to compare with? Hubby needs to know. I have a 351W 2 barrel, I know that doesn't matter as I could have either.

thanks,
Vicki

If it's an original tranny then you have an FMX. You can tell if it's an FMX if it has an iron case. The c4 and c6 are aluminum. To tell whether it is a C6 you can look at the trans pan and the shape will be a square with a chunk out of it in the rear passenger side. If it is just a square and made of aluminum then you have yourself a C4. Also the C6 has the bellhousing cast in with the tranny you can't remove it.
