I was just outside replacing my pcv valve and breather and doing some other maintenance stuff on my day off. When i took my plugs off the ditributor cap i noticed that the pins were a copper color and the middle one that goes to the coil is silver. If i remember right they all used to be silver,my cap is an msd btw. Do i have to replace it?It been almost a year and a half since i did that.

I would just replace it that and the rotor. They arent that much and for peace of mind its cheap. Check your plugs sometimes its good to change everything all at once if you can afford it.

Most people change them yearly... But seriously if there isn't any carbon build up and / or damage to the terminals, cracks in the cap than it's just fine.

On the base, look for cracks in the plastic. Hold it up against a bright light to help you search for the cracks... If there aren't any than you are fine. If you see some, it's time for a new base.

I was just looking at the msd dist caps and they do come with the middle pin in silver and the rest in copper or gold(whichever color it is). I know my plugs have about 12,000 miles on them,i just have to take them out and check them to see if they are still good.

If your unsure about the cap, check the rotor too. See if its burnt or anything from carbon buildup.
