Gonna be installing a set of Polished/ported GT 40 heads with stainless valves, and explorer/gt 40 intake and a E303 cam. Plan on using unequal length header with X pipe and Flow master catback.

Will also be installing 65mm throttle body to match intake. Have not changed MAF and was not planning on it unless absolutely necessary after install of the rest of the parts.

Will I require larger injectors for this setup? Will the stock 70 mm MAF work with the FMS 65mm throttle body I intend on installing to feed the intake?

Any help is much appreciated...

I would say yes you would probably need to go with 24lb injectors if you want the best performance out of your combo. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 19's are good up to around 300 hp at the flywheel. Based on your combo, I would think you will be making a little more than 300 flywheel hp.

You will be fine with a 65mm tb, but if you go with 24lb injectors, you will need to get a maf that's calibrated for that size injector. A 75mm maf calibrated for 24's will work well with that setup. Good luck!

I'd hope to be a little stronger than 300 Flywheel HP? Those heads should flow wicked! Thumper is building them up for me......

i would stick with the stock maf. you can tune the car for the 24's with the stock maf. might want to look at the tweecer. you can upload the j4j1 (cobra) tune and then modify it as you learn. that would be better than running the stock tune with a "calibrated" meter.

Minimum 24 pound injectors. Why the e-cam? While you are doing the heads, consider upgrading to a cam made within the last 15 years. The e-cam will sound great but you're leaving a ton of power on the table.

The MAF is a crap shoot. You'll probably be making 280rwhp or so, which is right on the edge. I would do it if it was my engine. You'lre going to have to get a tune anyway.

There may be a pile of cams available for the 5.0, but how much difference will each of them have with close to the same duration and lift numbers??

There probably are more "performance" oriented cams, but this is going to be a daily driver/street car?

What cam would you recommend?

I'm about to order a crane 2031 myself. It is designed for the 93-95 Cobra (Gt40 stuff) with our funky computer in mind...
