Just had my car over to Anderson Ford, im lean at 5500 rpm. My setup is below. Im running 50lb injectors, a Kirban AFPR, Anderson big pump in line, and a 255 in tank with stock lines and rails. The motor is done im not making anymore power, but 5500 rpm rev limiter just wont cut it, its horrible. I want to rev this thing to at least 6200-6300. Im looking at 2 possible solutions. 1. Adding a Bigger pulley for less boost along with methanol injection, i would def do this if i knew it would work for me. My last option is to opt for the Aeromotive kit. Problem is they have like 3 kits, and i have no idea which one i "NEED". Do i really need a sumped fuel tank, with an a1000 pump. I need some help guys what would you do and why?

Honestly, at that power level, it should be all you need. Depending on what your FPR situation is (whether stock mount would be in the way or not with larger rails) then you might need to consider a remote mount FPR.

You may want to consider a remote mount regardless. One where the regulator feed a Y-block then goes to both fuel rails with the equalizer loop in the rear. That way you don't run the risk of the left bank being lean.

Checkout the AndersonFordMotorsports page. I remember them having some good pics in there for various setup. You can then decide if you wanna just get their setup or it you want to piece part from ebay etc.

Edit: You may also discover that you can do without the in-line pump as well. That 255 should be able to provide the necessary fuel volume if it's not having to fight rails and lines that don't have enough room to flow gas to your setup.

Something else just occured to me too. Along with the rails and lines, you might check into a Boost-a-pump. I've seen write-ups in MM&FF where a 255lph pump moved 390+lph with a BAP.

Something like this would be the hot ticket. Instead of the fuel line adapters, you could use straight AN fittings.

No need to upgrade the injectors. They are more than large enough to handle what you've got so far. you can support that power level with 42s.

Something you might want to consider though when you replace the fuel rails... Have the injectors flow tested and cleaned. Check your neighborhood machine shops etc. to see if they have the flow-test machine. The NAPA near me has one.

I was in the same situation with some stock fuel lines, 255lph in the tank and a t-rex with 42 pounders. I purchased a Aeromotive 17105 kit and some Vemon 72 lb injectors back in Feburary. I got the Aeromotive kit for $1150 from Shark Motorsport. They sell off returns from Summitt. The tank had some scrapes that I painted. Now it's no guessing game if the fuel system is adequate.

I've seen numbers as high as yours fed by stock rails, 42lb injectors and a high pressure gss340 255 pump.

Me personally i'm not a big fan of the inline pump combined with the in tank.

I had the car tuned last year with 42s and a Trex in line pump along with a stock regulator. That setup also ran lean at 5500. I added 50 lbers, an Anderson In line pump and a AFPR and it did nothing, still lean at 5500. Its worth noting the only other mod was a Systemax over a FRPP Cobra intake.
