anyone ever done this? I know most people take their cars to shops to have them lifted and done professionaly, but It doesnt sound that hard, I mean its just bolts and exhaust hangars, right?

I have a couple riser things at home that I can roll the back tires up onto that'll raise the stock height about six inches higher. . . you really need all the clearance from a lift?

You can do it with jack stands and do not NEED a lift. It justs makes things extra eazy

I just did my Magnaflows about 2 weeks ago myself. If you are going to do it make sure you have someone else with you. That extra set of hands comes in handy. It took me about 4 hours to do it and that was with two of us. Be prepared because you may run into problems with fit. It actually went together pretty well except that magnaflow welded a hanger in the wrong spot on the muffler. I had to fabricate a new hanger to make the muffler fit properly. Otherwise it bolted together quite easily. Just give yourself extra time in case you run into problems. All I needed was a floor jack and some car ramps. When it came to putting the pipes over the axles I just jacked the frame higher above the car ramps to make the axels sag. Once I was done putting the pipes over I let the wheels down on the jackstands again to finish the rest of the install. It was nice being able to do it myself instead of relying on someone else. it gves you that sense of accomplishment.

it's not hard. cut the stock exhaust out, slip it off the car, slide the new one in and hopefully you baught the one that bolts together before or after the axle so its easier to work with. then bolt it up. we did my mac catback in an hour

I think you have it the other way around. Most people install their own cat backs. If you have common tools, it's really easy.

It took me an hour at home in the driveway to do it...

You either have to cut the pipes or drop the rear end. Cutting the pipes is easier.

Shouldn't be difficult at all. Pulling the exhaust over the axle is a PITA. I had to do it on an 85 Mustang and I nearly killed myself. I had someone life the rear of the car while I jiggled it loose. I got my fingers crushes between the pipe and the gas tank somehow. It wasn't very exciting to say the least and suffered no damage to the fingers.

yeah getting over the axle is a big pain. I parked mine on some ramps and had to unbolt the shock and then jack the body up another couple inches to get mine over.

I have like zero practical experience working on cars and it took me about 3 hours by myself to set up, cut off, and install the new ones.
