Roush Do saleens have the air silencer in?

Just curious if Saleen actually pulls out the air silencer out of their cars once theyre built. If not, is it just inside the fender where the air filter is? 99-04 s281's, btw.

cant say if the silencer is removed but either way the k&n sits in the stock airbox w/ stock intake; not in the fender

The silencer is not touched; probably not worth the trouble for Saleen to mess with. I don't think the silencer affects the 4.6 cars like it did on the 5.0s.

that's what i was wondering. I remember it was a nice free mod on my old 5.0 and figured i would see if it made a difference on my 02. Thanks
