I ask this because I installed new exhaust, headers, and blower on a 97 F-150. I am currently at 270K miles and it is running great. I mean I would not be afraid to take off to California on a road trip in this truck. Now I am on the third blower, they seem to wear out about every 60 to 100 thousand miles, but I am running the same motor, transmission, ect...
Or is the 1997 F-150 just a fluke? Most are still on the road, you cant go to a salvage yard and get parts, they are all still on the road.

In the meantime, you could always add a cold air kit and an SCT X-cal II, performance tune..Until, your ready to add a supercharger..
