You know you formed an opnion before you really read any of the post. Instead of giveing me information from an experienced point of view, you just wanted to call people names.

Sorry about the troll thing, it's just that I've never heard of an adult that thought forced induction would make an engine last longer. It's basic physics...you are applying more force on parts than they were designed for, sort of like towing more than your truck is designed for: sure, it will tow it but all the associated parts with wear quicker.

I was looking for an adult response, didnt get that from you. All I got was insults. You want to discuss basic physics, here we go. I installed a Paxton super charger on a 4.6 F150 in 1997. I have to run it easier to get the desired effect, and currently have 270K miles on the original motor and drive train. Basically common sense would lead to the conclusion that the supercharging of the motor lead to the extended service of the vehicle.

Probably that reasoning is wrong, I do not profess to be an expert in this field.But I did not expect to have a question here turn in to being called a "troll" or "not an adult". You are a "founding member", so I am sure I will be banned after this. I was really looking forward to discussing the mods I would like to make to the dream car I have ordered. Instead I am talked to like I am a 16 year old kid.

Did not you not read my original post? How could extra engine power affect the drive train unless I abused the vehicle? You make assumptions then are arrogant and condesending.

Dude, you really need to take it easy here alright ? First of all, Anthony provided you with an honest and general answer ok ? And he's right..A supercharger, does put strain on an engine..He wasn't trying to be disrespecful towards you, in anyway..As for Fly..He just misunderstood, your question, and I believe that he did, apologize for that..So take 10 deep breaths in and out, and just relax ok ?? Yep, I read every single one..and believe me, I had my moments with some of the other members, in here..And even though, you may be 100% correct..There are just some people, who just cannot admit to themselves that, their ever wrong about anything..And it's people, like that..I really feel sorry for, because it takes a real man to admit, that he's wrong... Therefore, it's best to just walk away, and let it go in one ear and out the other..Because, I've found out the hard way, that getting into a heated debate or argument, with that person accomplishes nothing, but escalates the problem, even worse..So my advice is..Don't lower yourself, down to whoever that person's level, happens to be..It's just not worth it...But I can honestly tell you, that both Anthony and Fly, are really good and nice people..Anyway, hope this helps in someway..

Apowers - don't ask a question if you are not prepared for answers (good and BAD). Forums are not always about group hugs. In all honesty, these guys went pretty easy on you.

Any performance mod, including super charging, will shorten the lifespan of the motor.

You would do yourself a big favor by researching how a particular modificaion works before posting a "theory". Especially if you did not want your "theory" challenged by people.
