I was considering buyin a set of underdrive pulleys for my 01 cobra but im kinda wondering if thats a waste of money right now because the only mods I have is a superchip. Thanks a lot
They will without a doubt help you. In a recent issue of mustang monthly (I think that was the mag, can't remember for sure) theyu tested underdrives on your motor (a 97 cobra, virtually the same). It made like 9hp, and 7lbs to the wheels. For under, 100 bucks, you can't beat that.
You will also greatly benifit from the mods mentioned ubove by 4u2nv, but I would get a nice cat-back exhaust first.

Wow, 9hp, im surprised it actually makes what it claims to make. Now is that flywheel hp or rear wheel horsepower? If an u/d pulley kit makes 9rwhp I'm gonna order it as soon as i can.

The install is pretty easy if you know basic car mechanics. I had trouble getting the crank pulley off b/c it was on there for (at the time) 8 years and needed to be worked. I also had my radiator out when I did them, which helped alot. Not hard to do though.
oh......they said that it lost the signal for some reason...the guy told me that he gets that often with the 96-98 cars...not a missfire or anything wrong with my car...
