Just wondering.
Do you typically try to stay away from an LS1 on the street?

For me-
04GT: yes
90: Hell no
68: not usually, especially if I can go from a stop (it launches VERY hard)

i dont avoid them in the least. A) why...they are a car with more displacement and several years of tech advances on our cars...if you lose you should...

B) i havent been beat badly enough by one that was in my "class" per say, to avoid them...you win some you lose some:shrug:

Never lost to one! just had a great race with a Z06 at the track last week... Would have really put the hurt on him if I wasnt putting all my power to ONE TIRE!!! Rearend rebuild next week to say the least...:nonono:

LOL, that sucks. I know how you feel. A couple of years ago, the rear in the 90 went, but I had to get it driveable again because it's my wife's daily driver. So I grabbed my friend's old rear end out of his coupe (7.5 open diff). It sucked, but at least it had 3.73's, and it was free. In the meantime I had the 8.8 rebuilt with the addition of 3.73's.

I'm glad most of you guys aren't scared of them.
Some others around here act like LS1's are created by God himself.

i was driving home from the movies one night with the g/f and a red t/a came by me and reved ! i ignored it for 2 reasons ..... 1 - the car sounded mean as $hit and 2- i was just crusing no need to race .

the g/f said ah just go mess with him ..... so we ran a few times from a 30-40 mph roll and i came around him every time pretty good races all in all.

later to find out he was , cam'd , stalled and has exhaust ..... went 11.90s at the track .

Hell no....there's no shame in losing. I never understood why people hate to lose so much. I'd love to win every time but the facts are the facts. If you're slower then hey, it's time for a stroker! It's only a problem if you talk $hit and act like you can't be beat. Then your ego is gonna take a hit.

no, im acutlly looking forward to racing an LS1 that i work with. he talks a good game and is always talking about how he is going to beat me and has never lost to a mustang....
