My 85 347 car gets more attention with a bad top and flakey paint than my old 03 convertible gt or my old camaro. Most older guys at gas stations wanna know what all has been done to it and say it sounds good or ask about the cam etc... I've talked to car guys for hours about it sad thing is as I've driven my car maybe 20 times she needs insurance right now

nah lol I like all the torque from my 347, if I ever build a turbo car it'll be a twin snail shelled 408 windsor

When I drove my 03gt, most people couldn't tell it apart from the 10+ v6 mustangs they saw daily

that's true, and I've seen a crap load of new edge v-6's lately... I rarely see Foxes or 94-98 SN95's around here, and if I do they are well maintained and tastefully modded V-8 cars

I love the Look of the new edge but everyone has one now, I'm just gonna keep my 85 keep adding to it might one day build a 408 for it, or just buy or build my own terminator. If I win the lottery I'll do both haha then I'll buy an sn car for my 347and daily it haha

lol That's cold. The dude is taking one for the team. Give him a quick romp on the throttle or something. I'm sure he could use the excitement.

I never got the whole, "you got married and had kids, so now you can't have any hobbies" mentality. I've been married almost ten years (no kids) and I still have all my hobbies. Course over the years I've had to endure my sister's retardedness, lecturing me on how I need to "sell all my cars, grow up, and have some kids".

I'll have kids one day, but they will be riding around in a hotrod.

I never really got that either.. When I was little my mom drove a '94 camaro z28 and my dad drove a kawasaki zx-11 all summer and it worked out just fine. I also bought my 92 fox from a guy that's wife forced him sell it because they had more kids than the car had seats lol

I hear you. When I first got married other guys were always telling me "Say goodbye to your Mustang!" Ten years later not only do I still have it but I bought another one. It's never been an issue at all.

We're two months away from our first child (children). Twin boys! Needless to say I cannot wait to turn them on to hot rods. We also have a 4Runner so the familly hauler is there when needed.

My friend had a turbocharged '00gt. Then he had kids. Now he has a minivan and no mustang. He hates it, but claims its convienent for his wife and 2 kids. Says I'll understand when I have kids.

Thing is....I don't want to have any little devils. I repeatedly punch myself in the balls every night to ensure this. Would rather enjoy life, travel, and be selfish than have children

Yeah same here. Seems no doctor wants to do it on a unmarried guy in his 20s with no kids....they just think he wants a free pass to sleep around.

I don't need to worry...my g/f can't have any children anyway.

I got my vert because I got a minivan. I have always had a fun vehicle that was safe (ie. large 4x4s) because driving my kids around, if an accident happens I'd rather be doing the crushing than being crushed. The minivan was actually great...pimped out rolling living room with 3 TVs an xbox in the 3rd row, Sat radio, 20 gig HD for all my music. But I also had my mustang. Now Ive downgraded to an Escape but thats loaded with everything too and with 4wd for winter so still pleased. The wife knows I wont do anything unless it will serve to benefit me at some point.
As far as having kids...best thing that ever happened, but if you dont want em then dont. Too many people on the planet anyway.
