Just as the 05 comes out, I am wondering if ford will sell the 3V heads and will aftermarket companies pick them up? Those things will do great things for our cars if there compatibile!
I gotta go with DBMNSTG on this one, it would probably be better just to buy the 3v. Or just the 05 Mustang in general. The intake and every internal parts of the engine are gonna be different.
How long do you guys think it will take for the 3v market to catch up? Will there be that lag like there was for us modular 2v guys? (meaning for intakes, cams, ect) I'm wondering how long im goin to have untill im going to have to supercharge to stay ahead of the newer GT's.

the aftermarket for the 3V is going to pick up fast for a couple of reasons. 1. the car is gonna be selling like crazy. 2. the 3V heads are going to be much more hp friendly. 3. Ford gave out info for companies like Roush, Steeda, and Saleen as well as various exhaust manufacturers to make aftermarket parts. by next spring there should be full exhausts, pulleys, suspension stuff and throttle bodies. by the end of 05, i bet there will be a couple supercharger systems out. the 05 is going to be a hot car.
If you were going to change the whole head set up it would be better off to just upgrade to a 4v. Would have to change just as much, but not get as much hp as you would on a 4v.
I dont think we will need to worry about the 05 stangs too much. If Im not mistaken they still dont have forged internals, so they shouldnt be able to make more power using the stock short block than we can. It might be easier for them to achieve extra HP, but they will still need to do all the same things we have to do to shore up the bottom end to handle more than 400rwhp. I could be wrong though. Once 3v owners start building stronger bottom ends, then you will see where the 3v truly pays off.
