Does air filter size matter?

I'm almost done with my s/c setup, but i have very limited space for an air filter. I just bought a vortech induction setup at a swap meet for 20 bucks. The filter is really tiny though, just wondering if this will be a problem. Thanks

33 views and no one can answer. I went from a 10" long 6" dia. filter, to a 6" long 4" dia. Will this make a diff? please respond.

I'm going to guess it'll affect it a little, but not much... Just a guess though

What type of blower are you installing and is the filter set up made for that blower?

The way I see it is your car is trying to suck the air in through a smaller filter so it will be restrictive some. A larger filter will have more area for that air to pass through.... Anyone know if that sounds right?

This is the filter that was sent with my S-Trim. 6" length and 5 3/4 diameter.
