I just saw this on www.mustangtuning.com the other day:

http://www.mustangtuning.com/custom-foxbody-radio-hvac-relocation-panel.html

And I'm like that looks awesome! Not only can I move my radio so it isn't sitting behind the shifter, but I can make space for three 2 1/4" gauges too! So does anyone have this yet? If so, can you post about fit and maybe even some pictures?

This is the one that I have.

I like the tucked away looks of the gauges but damn that would almost be a toss up for the functionality. Nice find.

Brillient! Except for the Mustang Tunning logo at the bottom, I love it.

My thoughts exactly, so I decided to email them and ask about it.

Brian,

Since these panels are custom made, we can definitely make it so it does not
have the logo at the bottom. The gauge holes are 2 1/16".

I like the looks of that other panel too, Sicarius. Wish I could find someone with the MustangTuning one in their car with some pictures of it so I can compare the two a little better.

SAWHEET!!!!!! I bet they can do just 2 guages too. Wonder if they can do 2 - 2 5/8" guages.

Can always flip it backwards and have no logos on it. There has to be a decal kit out there for the a/c vent controls.

Thanks all for posting that. I did a stereo and HCAC delete, big holes in dash. I think it would look wicked with the 3 vent gauges, 3 HVAC gauges, an 3 Radio Gauges, and then the seven swiches!!!!

Is it hard to swap the radio and hvac or is it an easy swap? Thats a pretty cool plate and its a perfect spot to mount a wideband gauge since I already have two 2 5/8" gauges in my a/c vent.

I really like that. I think I am going to try to make my own. I don't want to pay $88 For something that I can make on my own.

I relocated my stereo and hvac controls a long time ago and have been meaning to make a very similar trim plate for a while now... it's great idea, but $80+ for a plastic panel? Give me a break. Anyone with acess to a dremel could make the same thing for well under $15. I need to stop being lazy and finish mine. If it comes out nice maybe I'll make a bunch and sell them for 1/4 what these places want.

To anyone wondering about the radio/hvac swap, it's pretty easy to do. I had to lengthen a couple wires to the a/c controls, but you don't have to if you're willing to have a smaller gap between the hvac panel and the stereo. I wanted as much space in between them as possible to install a couple gauges. I made a panel out of 1/2" MDF to mount everything... the stereo is bolted to the back of it, and then the panel bolts to the dash frame with security screws. Keeps everything nice and solid, and hopefully makes it much harder for someone to steal my headunit...
