sorry guys i tried to ask this question in the 5.0 thread, but no one seems to want to respond. do any of you guys have the expertise im looking for? here is my post below:

has anyone done a swap with the 5.4 triton? i got some info from a couple of local mustang guys and they told me all i would need is a tubular K member and a trans from a 4.6L Stang or a lincoln mark IIV. im gettin the motor out of a expedition that was totalled and brought to my work. can anyone tell me what else i need to grab from this expedition besides the obvious: motor, wiring harness, and ECU? oh ya one more thing, i know the lightning came with the 5.4 Triton supercharged... are the engine specs the same just minus the SC? i really need some quick help because the truck is gettin ready to go to the junkyard and i want to know if i should pull the motor or not waste my time?

PS thanks guys

you're asking the wrong group of people. this forum is a bunch of 4 banger nuts, which isn't a bad thing, but i doubt you'll get the help you're looking for simply because it's not their cup of tea

Yeah...I have to wonder why you didn't post this in the modular forum?

edit: Moved it for you, I think these guys can tell you more than we can.

the engine specs are different dude. different compression etc. lightning has forged crank. You cant just slpa a blower on there and go. it will cost you some bucks to upgrade and even get the thing to work in a fox. even after your done spending all the money, you cold have spent half that on a stout 302 with a blower pushing over 500 hp. sounds like a waste of time and money

I 4.6L swap from a Mustang would be easier. Get the harness ECM and fuel system an go.

Here is what I have been working on.

Old video before paint and assembly, but this is the best for last.
