Engine Does anyone know of the discontinued motorcraft thermostat?

I’ve heard of a motorcraft 195 or 192 thermostat that apparently clicks on to the thermostat housing so it can’t fall off while putting the housing back on. Does anyone who may have used it in the past know what part number it may be? LMR mentioned a discontinued one that’s RT-1107 that I can find on eBay for not too much.

No idea.

Turn the housing over.
Place the T-stat into the housing
Place one small drop of Superglue on each side 180* apart and let it dry before installation

It doesn't move.

Also, drill a hole in the top of the thermostat so that when you are filling the motor back up with coolant it will not trap air.

I did this 2 days ago. I reinstalled a 185* T-stat after not running one. Temp gauge went from bottom to mid gauge. Probably right where it should be.

Use also permatex hi tack spray housing not the thermostat. But the superglue is a idea I like, thanks chuck .
