I had the Bassani BX x-pipe with high flow cats installed this past weekend, along with some other mods. I have Imco glasspacks also on the car. I'm noticing a sound at around 1300 to 1800 rpms, the best way I can describe it is it sound like an old small block lugging at slower rpms...or a little like a sewing machine. It sounds like it's under the dash. I notice it under acceleration. We I get to a constant speed say 55 @ approx. 2000 rpm (3.73) it is gone and doesn't come back unless i touch the throttle; however, not as loud as when under acceleration. Me and a buddy made sure the bolts were tight. While the car was on the ramps it sounded fine, but when off the ramps and back on the ground the sound comes back. Is this just an echo or could the pipe/cats still be breaking in (approx 150 miles). I am not hearing anything strange on cold starts.

Thanks!

jack your car up, get under it at idle, and you will be able to tell if you have a leak or not in most cases. I dont know if a hissing sound is the best way to describe it, but you will know.
