does this seem a little shady?

Well I don't know what to tell you about the seller not having PayPal. I don't see that as a problem or sign of a scam though. Some people just don't like PayPal.

I don't see a different facia. That's a 1999 front facia on that Cobra. As for the emblem... all Cobra's come from the factory with the standard Mustang pony in the grill. Most Cobra owners switch it out for a snake. As for the doughnut spare on the front... that's not really what it is. It's very evident that this car has been to the track because what you are seeing are a set of Weld Prostar racing wheels a.k.a. skinnies.

I don't see anything wrong with that auction and it appears to be a legit '99 Cobra set up for drag racing.

The only thing I may question is the "well over 400rwhp".
Has cam, port and polish with all the normal bolt-on's. Not doubt that it is making more than stock, but well over 400rwhp. Stock it is probably making 280 rwhp, so do the math. Maybe I am way off on this but I would question it. Very nice, clean car it looks like.:)

one thing i noticed too, compression is bumped a bit, cam's, port, bolt-ons, ect. i dont know mod engines that well yet though. i would guess he is somewhere around low-mid 300 rwhp?

the first thing i would do is ask for some dyno #'s and fly down there
and put the car on the dyno to see if it's true about the 400+HP.

the rear spoiler or the seats shouldnt be the issue.

just find out what #'s= the cobra vin code and that would also answer
any dought you might have.

The front fascia, hood, pony emblem, and fender snakes are stock 99 Cobra. Ask to see the rear fascia, also. The 99's came with "MUSTANG" embossed in the rear (just like the GT's). Because there were no 2000 Cobra's (except for the Cobra R) the 01's and up finally featured "COBRA" embossing in the rear bumper. When in doubt, ask for a picture of the steering wheel.

Also, look at the fat rear tires, those may also give it away as a highly-modded Cobra
