160 ?? On a closed course my car barely gets to 120, never mind 160. I haven't had it flat out but I can tell you it doesn't seem like it has much more, and that is with a Steeda 93 tune and their CAI with high flow elbow.

This is sad, I had no problem getting my cobalt up to 165mph.

my 97 cobra convertible read 151mph on my gps and it was still pulling, it only had cat back and drop in filter. the owners manual said it topped at 152 in 4th gear. It was stock 300hp 305 trq.

From what I am reading, our Stangs are limited by it shape and not power. If that's the case then the Saleen body kit should do the trick. Does anybody have the Saleen body kit on a stock motor?

My 07 GT with a C&L CAI and Brenspeed 93 octane tune running 3:55 gears is running 135 mph in fourth at 6000 rpm. 145 was easy and smooth as glass.

My hood starts flappin' around 85mph....I can't imagine what it would do at 150.

Turn the hood stops in the front of your car counter clockwise evenly a turn or two. The hood should still shut compleatly from a 1 foot drop. Then run it past 85 and be happy!

I had the hood flapping too, I screwed out the rubber hood mounts and it seemed to work pretty well. Harder to close the hood though.
