Well, I'm doing my first big job in the 5.0 in the next few weeks.

I need the Ford part #'s for the following.

-Heater Core
-Heater Core Hoses (both of them) and do those come with the restrictor in the one hose or no?

Thanks in advance.

Heater Core Part Number: E9LH-18476-AA

Don't know the part number for the hoses. Somehow I doubt Ford sells either any more.

You can get both the core and hoses from a local parts store like Autozone or Napa.

Same here.I bought a core from Ford maybe 3 months ago and those two heater hoses + all the other hoses.

The inlet heater hose came with the restrictor from Ford.

I replaced the upper/lower rad hoses, the bypass hose, the heater hose that connects to the water pump, plus the two heater hoses at the back.

They were old so I just replaced them.

I just got back from ford and they told me that they can't get the heater core anymore. discontinued as of 04',

Its weird. I called them and gave them that part # and they can get it for me. they also told me that when they looked it up the other way the one that came up was discontiuned.
they told me that the hoses don't come with the restrictor so i bought it seperately.

I hated doing the heater core on my 89. The heater core on my 86 though is a snap, it comes out the glovebox and that's it.

This is what I just found out from a Ford dealership that I did work at 2 weeks ago, so I feel I know these people pretty well when I called and ask about information about things.

Ford does carry Part # E7VY-18D358-A, just so happens Fords call this part a control assembly that we call a restrictor.
Same part just a different description.
I was also told the cost for the control assembly / restrictor would be $12.48 + tax if anyone was wonder about the cost.

AS far as the heater core...Ford still carries them if you have A/C, but Ford no longer carries the heater core for those who don't have the A/C.
