I have been looking forward to putting the G-load brace I got back in March on my car. I get ready to put it on and I did a test fit, the damn oil pan is about 1-2" too low So I am going to have to take it back. The shop is back at school which is 2 hours away. Oh well I will have to find another mod to do

How was I to know it wasnt going to fit? I didnt have my stang there on dyno day when I bought it. I did a test fit on Neil's 5.0 and so I thought it would work. I just wanted to let everyone know that the KB brace does not work for the 2.3.

I'm glad to know that it doesn't fit, it was on my list of parts to buy for my Notch project. Guess I'm going to have to re-think it.

That's weird, I wonder why it doesn't fit if it fit the 5.0. I put a Maximum Motorsports 4-point k-member brace on my '90 and it fit fine.

The MM has a different cross bar that links the brace from one side to the other. The KB only has a single fat tube that links the sides together and thats what was hitting the pan. I might look into getting a MM one. Red ya got any pics of the brace on your 90?

Not currently...if I remember I'll go out wed. and take a pic even though the brace is all rusty and gross now (since it's been through 2 winters)

I have this brace and it fit just fine. No modifications needed. Are you sure you got the correct part? Did you try contacting Kenny Brown for assistance?

you guys have the stamped steel SVO oil pan, My car (and i am sure dans does too) has a reenforced cast alum pan. Maybe thats the difference between fitting, and not fitting

The Dr. is right. The oil pan on the 92 sits way far back we have a crappy Al pan while you guys have the nice one that does not get in the way.

Well that ain't cool.

BTW here is a pic of the MM4-point brace on my '90. Pic isn't very good but I didn't really feel like laying in the wet driveway to get a better picture.

I wouldn't buy any of that Kennybell suspension stuff its junk I had a track link kit plus it broke going into a driveway twice and crack the shock bracket. max. mo. or Griggs for suspension. BBK and Edelbrock make pretty good street stuff I heard. but max mo and griggs are the hot set-ups

Important question Red is your oil pan AL or is it a stamped steel one?

Mine has the stamped steel pain, since it's not a DP engine.
