Don't Know Jack About Detailing

As it says, I really don't know jack about detailing. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I was looking for recommendations on websites to go or places to visit on how to detail and wax and the difference between things. Even stuff like what works best on what colors and all the small stuff. I considered going to the local detailers and asking for a class but that will have to wait till I get some leave time to go home. The Army can be a real pain sometimes. Thanks in advance for any help! :)

There's a handy DIY guide you can download and keep handy called the Detail Guide. It illustrates the use of basic principles of over-the-counter products. Good stuff. And they have a forum I frequent called Wax Forum that's hosted by Mothers, but they try to talk more about technique than brand. It's a little more mellow than autopia.

Good sites to get info and pretty much anything. Most of the products talked about, used, and recommended are boutique. SO it can get pretty spending but for me they have worked out better then anything I've used OTC for the most part. There are some good products OTC you just have to find what works for you.
