dont let car idle=runs horrible

when my car is cold, if i dont let the car idle untill the car goes into closed loop(i believe its going closed loop because the a/f ratio stabilizes and the idle pitch changes), it runs like crap.

if i hop in and drive, the car misses hard,intake backfires, and if i give it full throttle, it goes lean and detonates!.......Now, what the hell is the problem?

If the above happens, i can just shut off the car and turn it back on again and it will run great.......

So, is this a computer issue... i guess it is but what is causing this? should i look for a bad connection to my computer harness and maby my chip?

as an update, i think i found the problem. My ground was way loose on my battery in the trunk.
