I got the stock cam out but cant get the damn dowl out of the end of it to put in the new cam. Im guessing it just pulls staright out, i used mapp gas and then vise grips and it wouldnt budge anything im missing

its the little pin in the end of a cam that goes into the timing gear to turn the cam. not sure if FTI sends one...but im pretty sure any cam you buy will come with a new one.
I don't think I received a dowel pin with my E cam when I got it...I just used the one from my stock cam.
So how did you get it out? I got a used Bcam that didnt have it and the stocker doesnt want to come out.Matts89LX5.0 said:
I did this recently. The dowel pin came out of my stock cam no problem.
The TFS cam came with 2 dowel pins (dif lengths). I used the one that was the stock size. Now to get it in I took a rubber mallet and whacked it a few times as it was a tight fit. If you can't get it out, im sure you can pick up one cheap somewhere.

heres a picture....its out of a import but its the best thing i could find. its the little nob on the end of the cam.
I went by O'reillys, autozone and local hotrod shop and noone had them 
I keep soaking it in liquid wrench and about to try some more. This sucks i always get hung up on the lil stuff.
