Hey guys, I just wanted to hear some opinions. The one thing I know for sure is that I want a Dr. Gas X-pipe
. Ideally, I'd like to have no cats and no mufflers, kinda like stock cars at the local track, similar to NASCAR (they have boom tubes though), and exactly how John Buscema's cobra was most recently. I've been warned that this would sound extremely loud, especially at WOT. I think it would be okay at idle - 1500 RPMs, though, wouldn't it? Anyhow, if that's too loud and would get me pulled over by cops all the time, then I'm looking at a few options:
1. Put some cats on. Still no mufflers.
2. Mufflers. Still no cats. And if it comes to this, I'll either get Flowmaster original 40s or Dynomax Race Bullets. From what I hear, the Dr. Gas + Flowmaster combo is pretty wicked. Haven't heard any Dr. Gas + Dynomax race bullet clips, but it's a straight-through design that might leave the exhaust tone similar to what it'd be without mufflers.
Thoughts? Opinions? I'm interested in what it'd sound like with cats and no mufflers. Would the exhaust tone be much different?

. And, as the signature mentions, I was using 93 octane with stock timing, so I probably lost a little bit there.
