I am trying to research drag radials for the torque thrust 18" stock rim. I belive the size of the rim is 8.5" wide and I am trying to find a drag radial. All the ones I have found thus far recommend a 9" wide rim.

Is anyone running a drag radial on the said rim and if so what size?

Thanks!

Hang in there a while. There is not a drag radial available in 18's yet that's the proper height for your car either. You want an overall height of 27'' and maybe 27.5'' at best. The only 18's out yet are 28.8'' or I believe 26.45'' or something like that. The tire manufacturers will get on the new stang bandwagon in time. I mean it's only been almost 3 years so hang in there.

I think the Mickey Thompsons will be out in late summer, if rumor holds true. At least they are advertised on the website now.

I've been running on my 18" street tires at the track, and threw in the towel with the crappy 60ft times, so I just bought 17" 255s up front and the 17" MT 275 width out back for my OEM 17x8 wheels.
